The numbers fall in a line,
then jump on the line.
The line sprouts out one arrow,
the other line does too!
The numbers circle the two arrows,
while the arrows point at them.
The numbers are at a standstill,
yet the arrows keep moving
round and round and round
all day round.
Time is always on the line.
One arrow here and one arrow there.
Our entire life is spent dancing to its tunes.
Tick-tock of the clock;
But who knows how the clock sounds
to a toddler, pet dog,
or bird outside on the branch?
Tick tock?
Or maybe not!
The time is no longer in a line
It’s in a circle
just like the spherical one that we live on
Which also goes round and round and round
All year long
Round and round and round and round
Until maybe someday
something or someone is found.
